No Documents = No Tax Return
Accountants do not “make up figures.”
If there are no documents, there is no tax return.
Every tax return, VAT return, and set of accounts is backed by a legal declaration stating that the figures are true, complete, and supported by records.
Submitting figures without evidence is fraud — for both the client and the accountant.
What this means:
- Estimates are not acceptable
- Missing documents cannot be guessed
- “It’ll be about £X” is not evidence
- If records are incomplete, we stop.
- No documents = no submission.
- It’s the law.
