You need:

• Your mobile phone
• Your email address
• Your passport
• Access to your emails

Step 1: Start

1. Go to GOV.UK.
2. Search:
   Verify your identity for Companies House
3. Press Start now.

Step 2: Create your GOV.UK One Login

4. Press Create your GOV.UK One Login.
5. Enter your email address.
6. Open the email GOV.UK sends you.
7. Enter the security code from the email.
8. Create a password.
9. Enter your mobile number.
10. Enter the security code sent to your phone.

Your GOV.UK One Login is now ready.

Step 3: Download the app

11. Continue with the identity check.
12. Choose to use the GOV.UK One Login app.
13. Download the app when it tells you to.
14. Open the app.
15. Sign in using your GOV.UK One Login.

Step 4: Scan your passport

16. Choose Passport.
17. Take a photo of the passport photo page.
18. Place your phone on top of the closed passport.
19. Slowly move your phone until it scans the passport chip.
20. Take a picture of your face when asked.
21. Follow the instructions until it says the check is finished.

Step 5: Save your code

22. Return to the Companies House page.
23. Finish the final questions.
24. Companies House will give you a personal code.
25. Save the code somewhere safe.
